Approach, Solution and Outcome
The manufacturer relied on a fixed-slot production planning approach that limited its ability to meet customer delivery expectations while maintaining high inventory levels. Inaccurate CRM data and insufficient collaboration across departments and sites further complicated sales forecasting, capacity planning, and supply chain coordination.
Pacellico conducted a comprehensive business assessment and designed a tailored Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) framework to address these challenges. The S&OP application was adapted to the manufacturer's operational requirements, supported by training, coaching, and mentoring to strengthen cross-functional collaboration, accountability, and adoption.

Conclusion
The implemented S&OP framework connects structured sales forecasting with capacity and supply planning. CRM data, business-unit order intake forecasts, and Power BI-supported management reviews provide a more reliable basis for commercial planning. Integrated capacity planning and MRP scenario comparisons help identify supply constraints before executive approval of an actionable, capacity-constrained plan. A new supplier portal extends forecast visibility across the supply chain, supporting shorter lead times and more coordinated decision-making.
The transformation established a foundation for continuous improvements in forecast accuracy, supply constraint management, and strategic decision-making, while accounting for the organization's existing process and systems maturity.
